The initiator of the Polish branch of the Green Cross International. The originator and co-founder of the Kulczyk Foundation, a non-profit organisation providing aid in Poland and in the world. She is a member of the Board of the UN Global Compact Poland and the Ambassador of the SOS Children’s Villages in Poland. She is a member of Young Leaders for Tomorrow, a global initiative of young leaders. The Dame of the Order of the Smile.
He graduated from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich and completed post-graduate studies at Stanford University and INSEAD. He has an over 40-year experience of managing international projects in the European energy sector, including the position of the President and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Alpiq, a Swiss energy company, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Swiss Grid (a Swiss system operator), various management positions at ATEL and EOS (two energy companies which merged under his leadership into Alpiq in 2009) and ABB Group, a global energy/infrastructure company. He is the Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the European Energy Exchange (EEX), a member of the Management Board of EPEX SPOT (European Power Exchange) in Paris and Clearing Bank ECC. He was the founder of the European Energy Exchange in the early 2000 in Frankfurt, when he was the CEO of the Exchange. He was actively involved in the EEX merger with another German exchange, LPX.
Emmanuelle Rouchel has over 20 years of experience as legal counsel. She joined Brookfield in 2015 and is a Senior Vice-President and General Counsel for Brookfield´s European Renewable Power Group. Prior to joining Brookfield, Ms. Rouchel was a senior legal counsel in the international upstream oil & gas sector. She started her career at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York, where she focused on cross-border mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions.
She holds post-graduate law degrees from Columbia University, where she was a Fulbright scholar and a Harlan Fiske Stone scholar, and from Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas, as well as a graduate business degree from Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP). She is an English solicitor and is also admitted to the Bar in New York and Paris.
Independent Member of the Supervisory Board. Legal counsel (solicitor) with over 20 year experience in complex legal services for enterprises, currently managing own law firm. Previously he was managing legal departments for over 10 years, in particular Director of legal departments of Polish TOP 20 enterprises (PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. and Polkomtel S.A.). He has been a member of the supervisory board of many corporates, including the independent member of the supervisory board of WSE listed companies, among others in the field of energy PKN Orlen S.A. and DUON S.A.
Member and subsequently the Vice-Dean of The Council of the Regional Chamber of Solicitors in Warsaw for 10 years. He graduated from the University of Lodz – Faculty of Law and Advanced Management Program IESE Business School of the University of Navarra.
Marjolein Helder, MSc. PhD. graduated from Wageningen University, the Netherlands, as a PhD in Environmental Technology, November 2012. Her research focused on technology to produce electricity from living plants as a new source of sustainable energy. She founded the spin-off company Plant-e to bring the unique and innovative technology from her research to the market. She and her team launched several products that are worldwide adopted.
As founder and CEO of Plant-e she combines her technological excellence with extensive skills and experience in managing the company. She is a well-trained and regularly hired speaker for a multitude of events, including different TEDx-events, where she brings across the message of sustainable electricity from living plants with great enthusiasm.
From 2016-2018 she was part of the High Level Group for the European Innovation Council, that has developed the basics for a new innovation structure for the European Union under a new to establish European Innovation Council.
A leader among the younger generation of Polish entrepreneurs. For over 18 years he has been expanding and investing in new technologies, especially the Internet of things.
He is the founder of an inspiration and competence centre for entrepreneurs investing in high-tech projects. He is also the founder of an accelerator fund designed to help rapidly expanding firms in high-tech projects.
He gained his experience working for various local and international companies, including Lazard’s London Bank and SonyBMG digital media unit in New York.
Currently, he is the CEO of Kulczyk Investments. He started working in Kulczyk Investments in 2010 where he supervised the key investment projects in the strategic fields. Under his leadership, KI purchased shares in the Nigerian oil and gas fields. His responsibilities included, among others, managing research and development works in QKR Corporation – consortium dedicated to oil and gas production and exploration assets.
He was appointed Chief Executive Officer in December 2013.
He is a graduate in Management and Marketing from the Faculty of Law at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan and of The London School of Economics.
During 1997-2002 Orest Nazaruk has been working for Arthur Andersen Company, auditing financial statements of banks and insurance companies and providing restructuring advisory services for companies from oil, gas and energy sectors. After that, during 2002-2004 he has been working in the Ministry of State Treasury as a Deputy Director in Restructuring and Public Aid Department being responsible for restructuring programmes preparation and supervision over state-owned oil, gas and energy companies. During 2004-2006 Orest Nazaruk took part in establishing independent gas Transmission System Operator Gaz-System and has been a member of its first management board responsible for finance and trade. During next years – 2006-2015 – he has been working as a member of management boards of companies: Selbud Inwestycje, PGNiG Energia and PGNiG Technologie as a restructuring process advisor. He was a member of numerous supervisory boards of oil, gas and energy companies (Towarowa Giełda Energii, Anwil, PKN Orlen, Mazowiecka Spółka Gazownictwa, Elektrociepłownia Stalowa Wola).
Orest Nazaruk has graduated from Warsaw University – Faculty of Management, with the risk management on futures market specialization. He has attended numerous international trainings on International Accounting Standards, strategic management, restructuring programmes and risk management on futures market in gas and energy.
