Polenergia Obrót is a member of the commodity market managed by the Polish Power Exchange. The basic areas in which the exchange operates is trading in commodities and maintaining the Certificate of Origin Register.

Polenergia S.A. is a signatory of the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance (ECH2A) set up by the European Commission for implementing the EU Hydrogen Strategy.

In 2021 Polenergia officially became a member of Hydrogen Europe (HE) which associates the most important companies supplying and implementing hydrogen technologies in Europe and throughout the world. The Hydrogen Europe membership gives Polenergia an opportunity to participate in creating a hydrogen market through building new and lasting business relations. Activities within the HE entail creating demands in key areas of hydrogen energy, not only on the national but also European market, access to technology knowhow and business aspects of development of hydrogen investments.

  • Green Ribbon #ForthePlanet


    On the occasion of the World Environment Day, the Polenergia Group joined the initiative called "Green Ribbon #ForthePlanet" led by UNEP / GRID-Warsaw. The aim of the annual campaigns is to educate the society on the most important environmental challenges.In this year's edition, the Polenergia Group educates and encourages others to consciously engage in the protection of ecosystems. This is in accordance to the resolution called "Decade of Ecosystem Restoration" announced by the United Nations.Together with the business partners and local communities, Polenergia Group will create the Re: Generation initiative. It brings together those who cares about the nature and the envionment and who also put efforts to stop the degradation of ecosystems are particularly close.

    in 2017, it adopted the UN Global Compact Ethics Program Standard, i.e. business self-regulation based on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights;

    since 2017, it has participated in the Partnership for the Achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals “Together for the Environment” established by the UNEP/GRID-Warsaw Center;

    On 31 July 2019, it joined the group of signatories of the Charter of Diversity, which is coordinated by the Responsible Business Forum, a European Commission’s initiative for popularizing the policy of equal treatment and management of diversity in the workplace.

  • United Nations Global Compact


    On 20 May 2020 Polenergia S.A. joined a group of companies supporting the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative – United Nations Global Compact. United Nations Global Compact comprises of over 10.5 thousand largest companies and 3,5 thousand institutions from all over the world that work together with governments and scientific institutions building strategies and initiatives based on ten universal principles on human rights, labour, environment, anti-corruption and taking actions in order to achieve social goals that contribute to implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations.

As part of activities of Global Compact Network Poland  the Polenergia Group:

  • joined „Sustainable Cities” programme in 2020 and continue the works under “Climate Positive” programme. The activities are carried out in working groups and contribute to climate protection, sustainable energy, water resources protection and sustainable cities.

  • joined UN Global Compact’s „Equal Opportunities in Corporate Business” #TargetGenderEquality programme. This initiative calls for setting and achieving ambitious corporate goals supporting female leadership and promoting equality in business through relevant tools, analysis of the results, capacity building workshops, mutual learning and dialogue with interested parties at national level.
